Many professionals and carers who support people with\udthe label of autism look to lecturers and ‘trainers’ in\udautism to provide the answers on how to ‘manage’ the\ud‘condition’. This article describes how two lecturers in\udautism respond to this challenge by encouraging their\udstudents to focus on questions rather than answers. It is\udargued here that it is through the process of reflective\udthinking that people will find the most appropriate\udsolutions to the issues that concern them. The article\udidentifies some of the key questions that can support\udthe reflective process and illustrates the applicability of\udthese, beyond the limitations of labels, to every relationship between educator and learner.
